Mobilephone.co.uk User Rating:
The Nokia 6680 is a mobile phone that resembles a chocolate bar in size and shape, but don’t let that fool you. The handset comes equipped with a whole range of features and is an imaging smartphone with two integrated cameras. Both are 1.3 megapixel, 1280 x 960 pixels cameras with 6x digital zoom and feature a slide mechanism for camera protection, and activation. One is placed at the back of the 6680 and the VGA camera is in the front making it a great gadget for two-way video calling and face-to-face communication. |
Nokia 6680 Phone Reviews |
Potentially great but actually fails too often. There is no way that this phone should receive a four star rating. I have had mine for 18 months now and I cannot wait to have it replaced in another couple of months time. Potentially it is a great phone with its 1.3mp front and rear dual cameras but it just keeps on freezing up and I have to reboot it again and again and again. The most mine has frozen on me is 4 times in 10 minutes which is, as far as I am concerned, dreadful performance. It is not usually that bad, usually I only have to restart it twice a day but that is still twice a day too often. Sometimes, if the phone is locked where you have to input a code to unlock it, the screen just says press unlock then * but once you have done that you then also have to input the lock code - this is not what is supposed to happen. Sometimes, I have to remove the battery to turn it off because the phone has frozen whilst locked and the on/off button does not work either. I have tried upgrading the firmware but mine has always had the most recent firmware already installed - even if I have wiped and reinstalled it, it is still performing badly and crashing. Total rubbish and I am looking forward to the day when I can replace it. When it works as it is meant to it is great but unfortunately it fails far too often and just becomes a nuisance. Not sure if I will get another Nokia. Reviewed by Matthew Sawford on Saturday, Sep 15 2007
