Palm Pre

Palm PreMobilephone.co.uk User Rating:

Buy the Palm Pre on O2:| O2 store | Carphone Warehouse

Finally, an iPhone killer. Well, kind of. The Palm Pre is the closest we've seen to something that outperforms the iPhone 3G and 3GS in all arenas.

For starters, it has everything you'd want in your phone. It has MMS (unlike the iPhone on release), it has GPS, it has a stunning 3.1 inch touch screen and runs Palm's very own webOS which runs like a dream.

The touch screen is just as, if not more, sensitive than the iPhone and the phone is such a treat to use. What's more, with it's slide out QWERTY keyword, even the fattest fingers can write a text or note.

The web browser is easy to use, much better than any HTC Windows Mobile operating systems, so perhaps the HTC Hero has a contender, too. With Flash support, you can play games (kind of) and watch videos online with ease.

Out on O2: 16 October 2009

The deal breaker in internet tethering. Whether it'll be available on O2 on 16th October is another question - but it certainly can operate like that SIM free.

Simply a fantastic, awesome, iPhone-ridiculing phone. Pre, we salute you.
