Motorola ROKR E2 Unveiled

Wed, 30 Aug 2006

Since Motorola i-Tunes ROKR music phone was introduced last year, it has not gained enough praises or equaled the success of its rivals in the market including the LG Chocolate phone, but Motorola is hopeful that the ROKR phone will finally make it this time by introducing the latest music-optimised phone, the ROKR E2 .

The new Linux-based music phone unveiled in Singapore offers more music, faster connection to a compatible PC and is more easy of use. Music enthusiasts are definitely hoping this phone’s going to be a lot better than the earlier model.

The Motorola ROKR E2 uses Motorola's proprietary MP3 player, rather than iTunes. The phone runs on Linux, features the Opera Web browser, a 1.3-megapixel camera and an expandable microSD (aka TransFlash) slot. It also has an FM radio and a 3.5mm port so you can use you own headphones .

This phone allows you to store up to 500 MP3s by plugging in an optional 2-GB SD, and it lets you create and manage your own playlists as well.
