After the recent announcement of the LG KG 800 in pink, also being called the Turkish delight version of the chocolate phone, O2 have secured an exclusive deal to sell the pink Samsung E900. Huge sales of the original Samsung E900 in black wiped out Samsungs stock of the handset, and retailers are still reporting shortages.
An O2 spokeswoman said, 'I've been assured we should be able to avoid any stock shortages because all available units are ours for the time being.'
Pink mobile phones have racked up huge sales in the past. Motorola's pink V3 was one of the biggest sellers of 2005 and The Carphone Warehouse's exclusive saw it sell an estimated 50,000 units per week.
The pink handset will only be available through O2's stores and website and through direct upgrades done over the phone. It won't be offered through other retailers who sell the network.
O2 will be exclusively selling the pink Samsung E900 in October.
