Nokia 6125 Unveiled

Mon, 16 Jan 2006

Nokia is expanding its porfolio of mid-range GSM mobile phones with the new Nokia 6125 fold phone. With a compact design, the quadband Nokia 6125 (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) is expected to start shipping during the second quarter of 2006 at an estimated retail price of 230 euros (£158.00), excluding taxes and subsidies.

The silver and black colour scheme is complemented by two bright colour displays. Equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera with 8 x digital zoom, video recording and a dedicated camera button, the Nokia 6125 provides on-the-spot photography capabilities.

The 6125 features MMS, instant messaging, push-to-talk, Nokia Xpress audio messaging and Macromedia Flash Player, enabling users to enjoy Flash content on their mobile phone.

Mobile email is available through an integrated email client that also supports attachments.

Adding a touch of entertainment, the Nokia 6125 offers a built-in digital music player, supporting a large variety of music formats including MP3, MP4, eAAC+ and WMA. The Nokia 6125 supports stereo audio over Bluetooth wireless connectivity and features a stereo FM radio, Visual Radio and video ring tones. Music files as well as images and videos can be conveniently stored on a hot-swappable microSD memory card.

Aage Snorgaard, senior vice president of Nokia, said, "The new Nokia 6125 successfully blends excellent functionality with compact style key criteria for consumers of a "classic" mobile phone. With its strong set of features, the Nokia 6125 is an ideal tool for consumers to manage their everyday work and personal life, and is a great addition to our highly popular mid-range portfolio."
