Sony Ericsson unveiled K510 Camera Phone

Sony Ericsson unveiled the new K510, the smallest most affordable 1.3-mega-pixel camera phone to date and sports a wide range of useful features. The new K510 (K510i in Europe and K510a in America) is expected to be available in the second quarter of this year.

The K510 phone, said Sony Ericsson, measures 3.9" x 1.7" x .7" and weighs 90 grams. Besides the 1.3 mega pixel camera includes a shutter button with 4 x optical zoom and digital image/video capture capabilities, other features include tri band GSM/GPRS functionality, 128x160 pixel display, Bluetooth and a web browser with Flash support, email client and an MP3 player, two body colours, 28MB of internal memory, a talk time of up to seven hours and a standby time of up to 15 days.

New PC synchronisation software keeps the user right up to date with the full suite of Outlook applications, including Calendar, Contacts, Notes and Tasks.

"The K510 is all about capturing good quality shots and the ability to easily share them with friends and family," says Najmi Jarwala, president Sony Ericsson.

Mobile Communications, Inc. (USA), in a statement, "For a mid-priced phone, the picture quality is excellent, and you have a variety of choices for sharing photos -- email, Bluetooth(TM), MMS or Infrared -- whatever is most convenient."
