Motorola and Sprint have announced the release of the i880 by Motorola an all-in-one multimedia camera phone on Nextel.
The i880 comes with an integrated music player with front dual-ported speakers allowing a user to enjoy MP3s, audio files, and audio podcasts.
Other features include: a 64 MB microSD card, GPS capabilities, Internet microbrowser, custom ringtone ID and picture caller ID, a 262K internal colour screen, voice dialling, voice recorder, speakerphone, date-book and 600-entry contacts list.
Peter Aloumanis, vice president, US Markets Division, Motorola's iDEN Mobile Devices said, The i880 represents Motorola's philosophy of intelligent handset design while delivering an amazing music experience. This device combines first class Nextel Walkie-Talkie communications solutions with ultimate multimedia features such as a 2.0 mega pixel camera ."
Danny Bowman, vice president of product marketing for Sprint said, "The i880 has a perfect blend of high-tier features designed for work and play. With all the latest walkie-talkie services, the i880 allows customers to communicate quickly when it matters most. The multimedia features make the i880 a well-rounded and attractive phone for businesses and consumers."
The Motorola i880 promises 4.5 hours of talk time battery life and is available now through all Sprint and Nextel distribution channels.
