Nokia 6300 announced

Nokia has revealed their stylish new Nokia 6300 a thin and compact mobile phone that represents an evolution of the modern monoblock design .

Measuring only 13.1 mm, it's not the lightest of phones on the market weighing 91 grams, but its close enough. The Nokia 6300 is "Like an impeccably tailored suit,” says Kai Oistamo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Mobile Phones, Nokia .

The Nokia 6300's features include a 2 mega pixel digital camera with 8 x digital zoom on the back, able to take 1280x960 resolution still images and 176x144 videos, 135MB of memory, microSD card slot for up to 2GB of memory, built-in MP3 player and FM radio, USB, voice dialling and voice recording.

Voice dialling, voice commands and voice recording combine to make the device willing to listen to you and the USB/PC synchronisation helps it talk to your PC .

Oistamo says the company believes the phone's sophisticated good looks and feature set will place it "among our best selling models in 2007.

Nokia claims an easy-to-use menu interface available on the phone and has a talk-time of up to 3.5 hours and a standby time of up to 14 days.
