YouTube Inc, the popular video sharing site are hoping to launch a new service next year where mobile users can share video clips with others via their mobile phones .
The majority of clips on YouTube were taken with mobile phones which have been uploaded onto home computers for others to view. The new mobile service will allow users to share videos with other YouTube users by getting clips directly on their mobiles without the need of a computer .
Chad Hurley, chief executive and co-founder of YouTube, said, "Offering video services on mobile phones was a key opportunity for the company .
"Within the next year we hope to have something on a mobile device, its going to be a huge market, especially for the video mind-set were dealing with, its a natural transition," said Hurley.
YouTube was recently bought by Google the Internet search engine giant for US$1.65bn.
