Samsung launch Ultra Smart F700 mobile phone

A new phone has been unveiled by Samsung that has been specifically designed to knock Apple’s iPhone from its market leading position. The Ultra Smart F700 will be showcased next week at the 3GSM World Conference in Barcelona, Spain .

The company said, "The Ultra Smart F700 will have touch-screen capabilities and play audio and video files. The 2.78-in. display will support resolution of 440 by 240 pixels."

The phone has a 5 mega-pixel camera with auto focus and Bluetooth which makes it more powerful than the Apple iPhone which has a 2 mega-pixel camera .

The Samsung Ultra Smart F700 mobile phone also incorporates technology that allows the user to download a digital music track in around 4.4 seconds. The phone supports MPEG4, H.263, H.264 and Real Video along with MP3, AACplus, eAACplus and real audio formats.

The phone can also work on the HSDPA and EDGE data transmission systems and also features a MicroSD slot for additional storage capacity .

Geesung Choi, President of Samsung’s Telecommunications Network Business said, "The introduction of our Ultra Smart F700 reflects the needs of today’s consumers by including features such as touch screen, enhanced connectivity to mobile internet, and access to an array of multimedia content.

"The Ultra Smart F700 is a good example of how mobile phone will evolve in the future. Samsung will focus on bringing products that reflect and pursue our position as a premium leader"
