World's Thinnest Waterproof Phone

Tue, 06 Feb 2007

Fujitsu has launched what looks to be the world's first thinnest waterproof mobile phone called F703i.

The stylish and compact phone measures 3" by 1.8" by .7" and weighs 3.8 ounces and despite the small frame the phone comes with many features, including a 1.3MP camera, a webcam for video chatting, a 2.2 inch TFT LCD and a MicroSD slot for extra memory .

The F703i also features a stylish time display and illumination on the outer shell.

The Fujitsu F703i can be submerged in 3 feet (1 meter) under water for 30 minutes and after taking it out it will work as if nothing ever happened! You can even wash the phone off in a regular sink without causing it any harm, company claimed.

The Fujitsh mobile phone also comes up with a special feature which works pretty much like a screen saver, kicking-in when the handset is not being in use and displays fluctuating lights combined with patterns of relaxing music and allows you to choose up to 15 different combinations of lights and music.

"It took Fujitsu three long years to develop this phone," a spokesman said.

This phone will be available in Japan next month in three colours, Snow White, Blossom Pink, and Lamp Black.

There are no pricing or availability details yet for the F703i.
