Owners of 3
mobile handsets are set to have access to a new emotional
text messaging service called Fun
Text .
Emotional messaging, which 3 claims is a new category of everyday communication, allows
mobile owners to add professionally created content to their
text messages to clearly express their feelings and emotions.
The Fun Text application will be initially offered as a
download to 3
UK customers from the
Planet 3 online portal before being made available on a range of
Nokia handsets, including the
N95, N73, E65 and 6120 handsets .
Fun Text content will be modified to suit the time of day, the date and the season and will offer users a range of
videos, animations and static images.
James Pycock,
business development director at ISL (the brains behind Fun Text), said: "Fun Text opens up the emotional messaging category, letting you say I really miss you or sorry or the millions of other deeply personal
messages we send to each other every day."
