Nokia have announced a new deal to provide its
mobile users with free unlimited
music downloads .
The Finnish
mobile phones giant has joined forces with
music label
Sony BMG to offer customers who purchase a Nokia Comes With Music
phone unlimited access to
Sony BMG's complete music back
catalogue .
Customers who buy the
Nokia music
handset will be able to
download tracks from Sony's back catalogue to both their
mobile handset and
PC via the online Nokia
Music store, free of charge for the first year.
Once the free-subscription period has come to an end, users will be able to keep the downloaded tracks and (for those that change their phone) transfer the music to any compatible device.
Nokia said mobile owners will be able to buy additional tracks from its music store or have the option of taking out a Nokia 'unlimited access' subscription service .
