Mobile phone operator T Mobile has announced a dramatic price cut promotion and a new cheaper tariff for its iPhone offering in Germany .
But the move by T-Mobile, Germanys official partner for the iPhone, to cut 8GB iPhone prices has sparked widespread speculation of possible poor sales figures of the iconic device.
From 7 April to 30 June, German consumers can pick up the 8GB version of the touchscreen mobile phone from just 99 euros when purchased in conjunction with T-Mobile's Complete XL two-year contract .
Despite the XL contract plan costing 89 euros per month, customers will still be able to save 300 euros on the normal price for the device.
In addition, T-Mobile is also offering its German customers smaller monthly plans, with the inclusion of the Complete L and M packages.
Costing 69 euros a month, the Complete L will setback consumers 149 euros for the 8GB model, while the Complete M for 49 euros will drop the phone's price to 199 euros.
T-Mobile said the 16 gigabyte version of the iPhone will continue to cost 499 euros.
