Mobile phone giant 3 has launched the UK’s first mobile contract for under £10 a month in time for the festive season.
The new Mix and Match 100 tariff offers users a Sony Ericsson K660i handset in either black and maroon or lime and white, with a monthly allowance of 100 minutes or texts (or a combination of the two), 300 same network minutes, free Skype calls and chat and free Windows Live Messenger for just £9 a month.
Commenting on the deal, 3 UK’s sales and marketing director Marc Allera, said: "Delivering value to consumers has always been a priority, that’s why we’re the first and only mobile network to try to take the worry out of at least one bill a month with the UK’s first ever £9 tariff ."
"The current economic climate means that we’re more committed than ever to finding ways to pass savings to consumers."
The new mobile tariff, descibed by 3 as Britain's best value offering, is now available in store and online at three.co.uk/Home.
