T-Mobile Announce Release Of BlackBerry Curve 8900

T-Mobile has become the first mobile network to release the much-anticipated BlackBerry Curve 8900 in the UK.

The latest smartphone in the Curve range from manufacturer’s RIM comes equipped with a range of rich multimedia and business communication capabilities, including push email, built-in GPS with BlackBerry maps, Wi-Fi and a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording and media player .

Other great features include a full QWERTY keyboard and a Micro SD memory card slot and a tool to open and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.

In terms of style, the Curve 8900 is BlackBerry’s thinnest smartphone handset yet and features a beautiful 2.4-inch display.

Daniel Meredith, head of handset and device marketing at T-mobile UK, said: "This is the latest in a new generation of Blackberry’s designed for those who want to stay in touch whilst they’re on the go - whether that’s calling or texting friends and family, or updating their status on Faceboook."

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is available to buy from T-Mobile stores nationwide and from the company’s website. The handset is free for buyers that sign up to a £35 per month tariff, which includes T-mobile’s Flext 30 offer and a monthly email allowance of £5.

It is also available from The Carphone Warehouse from free on a £35 a month contract or handset only for £399.99, while O2 is expected to have stock of the phone from 5 January 2009, with prices ranging from free to £234 depending on tariffs .
