High Tech Computer Corp (HTC) has unveiled its new highly anticipated flagship mobile phone, the HTC Touch Diamond .
The Touch Diamond is the latest in the TouchFLO-powered line of Windows Mobile smartphones, following on from the companys initial and successful Touch phone launched last year.
According to HTC, the TouchFLO 3D interface provides "animated access to people, messaging, email, photos, music, weather, and more".
The Taiwan-based manufacturer said its Touch Diamond phone will offer high-speed wireless Internet access using HSDPA and HSUPA - upgrades to existing third-generation networks that boost data transmission speeds.
Other features and capabilities of the smartphone include Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, 3G connectivity, a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen display, a 3.2 megapixel camera with video calling, 4GB internal memory, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 256MB Flash, 192MB ROM, WiFi, GPS, push email, and a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM 7201A processor.
Furthermore, the sleek Touch Diamond boasts iPhone-beating dimensions, measuring a mere 11.33mm thick.
The phone is expected to be available to customers in Europe next month, although prices for the model are yet to be announced by HTC.
