Sony Ericsson has released new software to fix glitches and improve performance for its latest handsets, the Satio and Aino.
The firmware updates are now available to download for the recently released mobile devices, which have been plagued by a range of software issues.
Sony Ericsson said the Satio update will provide improved system stability, while the Aino update promises "lower battery consumption and improvements to GPS, WLAN and Bluetooth ".
A statement from the troubled mobile phone maker said: "Sony Ericsson UK and Ireland is pleased to confirm that new software is now available for both Satio and Aino via Sonyericsson.com/update."
"This will allow consumers who have already purchased the devices to easily update their handset and benefit from improved handset speeds and battery usage."
"We can confirm this updated software has been approved by UK operators and fixes previous software issues."
Sony Ericsson also announced that the Satio smartphone has gone back on sale at high street retailer Phones 4U .
The touchscreen phone had been pulled from Phones 4U and the Carphone Warehouse - the UKs largest mobile phone retailers - due to the issues with its software, but Phones 4U confirmed that all Satio stock has been "flashed with new software".
