Vodafone has launched its first SIM-only tariffs designed to give mobile users low cost international calls .
The network operator is offering two new packages – a £15 SIM offering 200 UK any time minutes and unlimited text messages and a £20 plan that comes with 500 minutes and unlimited texts . Both are available on 30 day rolling contracts from Vodafone stores nationwide.
However, the real selling point of the new "International Super SIMs" is the cheap call rates to mobiles and landlines worldwide.
Calls to landlines and mobiles in the USA, Canada and China cost just 5p per minute. Landlines in 54 countries, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Japan, can also be called for 5p per minute, although the cost of calling mobiles in these countries increases to 15p per minute.
Calls to 24 counties across Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, South America and Africa will cost 10p per minute to landlines and 20p per minute to mobiles, while calls to the rest of the world will be charged at a flat rate of 30p per minute.
Customers can find out more by visiting vodafone.co.uk/international, or calling 08080 044479.
