The new virtual movie store offers over 500 film titles and TV shows from top studios Warner Bros, Paramount, Universal and Momentum Pictures, including latest releases such as The Dark Knight and IronMan.

Downloads, which can be bought or rented, will only be available for watching on compatible, video-enabled Samsung phones such as the new Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition .

The service is also available to anyone with a compatible laptop or PC, and the electronics company is hoping to expand the offering to its notebooks, MP3 and MP4 players and television sets.

"On top of this, it's all in superior picture and sound quality to the standard currently available in the market."
