The new HTC HD Mini smartphone has gone on sale in the UK, with a number of pay monthly deals now available from Orange, O2 and Vodafone .
The HD Mini is the third mobile from HTC to be released this month following the launch of the Android-based Desire and Legend handsets.
HTC has managed to pack nearly all of the features found in the previous HTC HD2 model the largest mobile phone touch screen currently available on the market - into a far smaller and lightweight frame.
It features a sleek 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 5.0 mega pixel camera with autofocus, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1, connectivity, full audio file support and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone runs on the same Windows Mobile operating system as its bigger brother and includes HTCs intuitive Sense user interface.
The only major difference between the HD2 and the HD Mini, apart from the size, is that the latter is powered by a 600MHz processor as opposed to the more powerful 1GHz chip found in the HD2 .
