Samsung Unveils First Bada Powered Mobile

Mobile phone giant Samsung has officially unveiled the Wave, its latest smartphone and the first mobile handset to run on its new Bada operating system .

The sleek device was on display at the 2010 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona .

It comes equipped with an impressive 3.3-inch Super AMOLED, anti-smudge touchscreen display, which is thinner, less reflective and more energy efficient than traditional LED displays.

The Wave also includes a powerful 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera capable of recording videos in 720p high definition, a music player, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone socket and the option of 2 or 8GB internal memory (expandable to 32GB via a microSD card ).

Furthermore, the new Bada OS comes with Samsung’s TouchWiz 3.0 user interface and Social Hub, which is designed to integrate all contacts' social networking profiles, including status updates and alerts, as well as SMS messages into a single 'live' mailbox.

The Samsung Wave is set to go on sale in the UK in April. Pricing and network availability for the phone have yet to be announced.
