HTC has officially launched its new flagship mobile handset, the HTC Sensation, at a special event in the UK.
The HTC Sensation is powered by a 1.2Ghz Qualcomm dual-core processor, making it the companys first dual-core Android smartphone . It runs Googles Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and also packs the latest version of HTCs Sense user interface (HTC Sense 3.0).
The mobile boasts a 4.3-inch HD touchscreen display with 960x540 pixels resolution, 4GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, 1080p HD video playback and two cameras - an 8 megapixel camera on the rear and a front-facing 1.2 megapixel camera for video calls.
In the UK, Vodafone has secured the rights to sell the HTC Sensation exclusively for the whole month of May, before T-Mobile, Orange, Three and O2 get their hands on the flagship device in June.
Mobile phone operators are yet to release pricing, release date and contract details for the Sensation, but many industry analysts expect the phone to go on sale with a SIM free price tag of around £500.
