The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play smartphone was officially launched in the UK of Friday (April 1), but stock of the Playstation handset is currently limited due to "supply chain issues" which have delayed some stock.
The Xperia Play is a touchscreen Android-running mobile that features slide-out Playstation gaming controls, a 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, GPS and 3G and WiFi connectivity.
It also comes with six games pre-installed including FIFA 2010, Sims 3, Star Battalion, Crash Bandicoot, Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior and Tetris. A further 54 titles are available to download.
The Xperia Play is currently available from Orange and high street retailers Phones4U and the Carphone Warehouse, while stock of the device is expected soon at mobile operators O2, Vodafone, Three UK and Tesco Mobile .
A spokesman for Phones4U said: "Although a number of networks have stated that there has been a delay in their deliveries of the Xperia Play, we have received plenty of stock ".
