Apple is said to be hiring smartphone and tablet sales specialists for the second half of August to the end of October, with market commentators speculating that this could be linked to the launch of the iPhone 5 .
The manufacturer, which also produced iPods, iPads and Macbooks, has so far been tight-lipped about the release date of its much-anticipated fifth generation handset .
However, with the firm taking on sales staff ahead of the autumn, it appears that the iPhone 5's launch could be imminent and most-likely in line with the predicted September release.
According to the Inquirer, full-time positions are being advertised on recruitment website Reeds, with openings in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Tyne and Wear.
The contracts are set to run from August 15th to October 29th, leading the news provider to speculate that Apple is preparing for a surge in custom around that time.
It has also been speculated in recent weeks that the firm is already working on the iPhone 6, with the Wall Street Journal quoting a source as saying the handset could feature a new form of charging.
