Orange have confirmed that the new HTC Radar smartphone will be available on their network when it goes on sale in the UK.
The recently unveiled, mid-range mobile will be one of the first to launch running on the updated Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) operating system .
Powered by a 1GHz processor , the Radar packs a 3.8 inch Super LCD touch-screen, a front-facing webcam and a rear-facing 5 mega-pixel camera with an F2.2 lens, LED flash and HD recording capabilities in 720p.
Other features include 512MB of RAM and 8GB of storage, 5.1 surround sound, WiFi, 3G, GPRS, Bluetooth 2.1 and an FM radio.
The smartphone is currently listed on the Coming Soon page of the Orange website, but details on pricing or a UK release date have yet to be confirmed.
Orange has added a product page for the Windows smartphone on their website under the Coming Soon section. Pricing details have yet to be confirmed but reports suggest that monthly plans will start from around £25 a month with no handset cost, or £350 for the phone on pay as you go deals .
The HTC Radar is expected to launch in the UK in October.
