Large queues for new Apple mobile phone

People eager to be among the first to get their hands on Apple’s new mobile phone offering have been queuing up outside the brand’s stores.
The iPhone 5 is now on sale – and fans of the device camped outside the outlets in cities including New York and Sydney to purchase the handset, the Daily Mail reports.
Staff greeted those entering the shops with a series of high-fives, with hundreds of people filing into each store.
Many consumers wore hats depicting the new phone, while others braved the early morning cold to make sure they got hold of the device as soon as possible.
IT businessman Ryan Williams camped outside the Apple outlet in London’s Covent Garden and stated: “I didn’t expect that kind of entrance to be honest with you, I thought I was just queueing for a phone but it was absolutely mad.”
Mr Williams wanted to be among the first to buy the iPhone 5 in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK – but said he had a great time in the queue and would definitely consider lining up in such a fashion again.
