Amazon UK has announced that the new HTC Desire S will launch in the UK on April 18 with a sim free price tag of £419.99.
The Desire S, which was unveiled last week at the Mobile World Congress trading event in Barcelona, will also be available on Orange, Three and Vodafone, in the second quarter of the year, although prices and exact release dates for these networks have not yet been announced.
The Desire S is the successor to the hugely popular HTC Desire handset. It features a 3.7-inch Super LCD display, runs on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, has 768MB of RAM, and 1GB of built-in storage space, which canlap be expanded up to 32GB via an additional microSD slot.
The smartphone also includes a 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1, and comes bundled with the very latest Andriod 2.4 Gingerbread software, plus the latest version of HTC’s Sense user interface.
