An increasing number of mobile phones users are turning to mobile network Three, new figures have shown.
The provider revealed more than 1.04 million customers have signed up to the service over the past year, taking the total number of users to 8.8 million.
In the last quarter alone, over 301,000 people switched to Three, making it the fastest growing operator in the UK.
Dave Dyson, chief executive of Three UK, said the company hopes to hold onto this title by bringing in a number of improvements to the network going forward.
Mr Dyson stated: “We have led the adoption of smartphones in the UK by giving our customers great coverage, fast speeds and compelling price plans.”
The operator is looking to boost the capacity of its Ultrafast network next year through the deployment of LTE technology, which comes after Ofcom gave the green light to Three’s acquisition of 2×15 Mhz of radio spectrum at 1800 Mhz.
Mr Dyson added the group is providing bundles that carry no surprise data bundles and offer greater peace of mind that enables customers to enjoy their smartphones without fear of unexpected costs.
