Nokia has unveiled a pair of new mobile phones with dual-SIM variants.
Both brightly coloured, the Nokia Asha 205 and Nokia 206 offer users side access to a SIM card slot, which means cards can be swapped around without the need for the handsets to be switched off, Tech Radar reports.
Owners might therefore opt to have a work and private number that can be used on the same phone, while the products also include the manufacturer’s new Slam sharing technology.
This enables people to send data – such as photographs – to other Bluetooth devices without the need to pair the phones.
The Asha 205 is being promoted as a socially-minded phone, as it boasts a physical QWERTY keyboard aimed at making it easier for people to enjoy social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
Indeed, Facebook has a dedicated button and is pre-installed on the phone – along with Twitter and eBuddy – while buyers can also download a gift pack of 50 EA games.
Nokia’s 206 feature phone is being targeted at consumers looking for a smartphone at a cheaper price, while plenty of work has gone into the aesthetics of the product.
