EE has revealed it is joining forces with HTC and Facebook to launch the first superfast 4GEE smartphone with the integrated Facebook feature Home.
The HTC First allows consumers to view social media updates on their home screen and they’ll be able to share photos, chat and interact with friends through an immersive mobile Facebook experience enhanced by 4G connectivity.
EE’s chief marketing officer Pippa Dunn said the operator is proud to have been selected by the social networking giant and HTC as the launch partner for the HTC First.
She added: “In combining our unique superfast network with the latest integrated Facebook experience, customers will constantly be at the centre of conversations with their friends.”
On top of superfast internet and EE customer services, people who buy the HTC First with a 4GEE phone plan will receive a £5 discount every month on EE’s superfast Fibre Broadband and EE Film, a service that brings individuals 2 for 1 cinema tickets, listings and digital film downloads.
At present, the operator – which is the result of a merger between Orange and T-Mobile – covers homes and businesses of 50 per cent of the UK population.
