Dell’s Venue Pro Windows Phone 7 smartphone – the first mobile offering from the computing giant, will be available to buy SIM-free in the UK from November 8.
Unlocked Venue Pro handsets will retail for £500 via online retailers Amazon and Expansys, making it the only Windows Phone 7 mobile to be offered SIM free .
Dell has also begun taking pre-orders for its new smartphone, which comes equipped with a 4.1-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera with digital zoom, LED flash and HD video capture, and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
It also includes 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, an accelerometer and digital compass, 1GB of internal memory and comes with all the benefits of Windows Phone 7 including the new time interface, Xbox Live and Zune.
The Dell Venue Pro is one of the first mobile phones to sport the Windows Phone 7 OS. Others include the HTC HD7, HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Mozart and the Samsung Omnia 7 .
