The much-hyped Nokia Lumia 900 Windows smartphone will be available to buy in the UK this summer, according to Carphone Warehouse.
The mobile phone retailer mistakenly announced an ‘expected’ arrival date of June 2012 for the Lumia 900 on a ‘coming soon’ page, which was put up to allow people to register their interest in the Windows 7.5 device.
The page has since been removed from the company’s website, presumably due to pressure from Nokia .
Unveiled earlier this month at the consumer electronics show (CES) in Las Vegas, the Lumia 900 is the third mobile to be produced under the partnership between Nokia and Microsoft – following the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710.
The handset boasts a 4.3-inch touchscreen and an 8MP camera, and runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango – Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system that offers slick, attractive menus along with a host of other treats.
