Phones 4U has begun selling the Doro PhoneEasy 610 – a mobile that is aimed at those seeking an easy to use device at a budget price.
The clamshell device went on sale yesterday at Phones 4u, Currys and PC World stores, and is priced at £79.95 for a new connection and £59.95 for an upgrade. Other retailers, including Carphone Warehouse and Orange, already stock the device, as well as other Doro products.
Designed with older mobile users in mind, the graphite black handset offers older large buttons, a big screen, amplified ringtones and a customisable menu system allowing users to block unwanted features.
Scott Hooton, Phones 4U chief commercial officer, said: “We recognise there is a customer base that are looking for an easy-to-use but stylish mobile phone .”
“We have been impressed by Doro’s success and development in this space and as such we are pleased to offer this handset as the ultimate easy-to-use option for our customers.”
Doro UK and Ireland MD, Chris Millington, commented: “The success we’ve had with our easy-to-use mobile range in 2011 has enabled us to illustrate to Phones 4U the enormous market opportunity the easy-mobile space has to offer.”
“I’m delighted that they are now listing the Doro PhoneEasy 610 and that it will be available, not only to their traditional customer base, but to new customers through their store-in-store adventure with Currys and PC World too.”
