Consumers looking for a bargain smartphone are likely to be interested in Sony’s budget Android handset the Xperia E, which is now on sale SIM-free in the UK for just £129.99.
The single SIM version of the mobile device boasts a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display that offers a resolution of 320 x 480 and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227A snapdragon single core processor that runs at 1GHz.
It also comes with 512MB of random access memory and 4GB of internal storage, which is sure to be more than enough for most people. Furthermore, the gadget runs the Jelly Bean version of the Android software.
Other features of the mobile phone include a microSD card slot that expands its storage potential to 32GB, a 3.2-megapixel auto focus rear camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM radio and a 1,500 mAh battery that promises up to 6.3 hours of 3G talk time.
This comes after Sony revealed at Mobile World Congress 2013 – which ran between February 25th and 28th – it has released a Firefox OS ROM for the Xperia E.
