The Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type mobile has officially gone on sale in the UK.
The small stainless steel device is available to buy SIM-free for £159 from Nokia’s online store. It is also being offered for free on various pay monthly plans with Vodafone, T-Mobile and O2 .
The C3-01 takes its cue from the Nokia X3 Touch and Type, combining a touchscreen with a standard numeric keypad.
It runs on Symbian Series 40 and comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA resistive touchscreen display and a 5-megapixel camera with flash.
The low-end smartphone also includes, 3G and WiFi connectivity, a music player, FM radio, email support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, social networking applications and support for microSD memory cards of up to 32GB. Users can also access Nokia’s Ovi store for more apps, music and games .
The phone’s battery can provide up to 4 hours talktime on 3G and 18 days standby time.
