Mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has announced it will be offering the hugely successful HTC Desire in white later this year.
The all-white model comes with all the same features of the current Desire smartphone, including HTC’s impressive Sense user interface, a 5 megapixel camera, expandable memory up to 32GB and the choice of thousands of apps from the Android Market.
However, HTC has fitted with the new model with a 3.7-inch Super LCD touchscreen display, replacing the same-size AMOLED screen of the current edition.
Carphone Warehouse has yet to confirm a release date for the handset, but it is expected to arrive in time for the busy Christmas trading.
The white HTC Desire will be officially unveiled during the forthcoming HTC event in London which will also see the launch of the HTC Desire HD and the Desire Z.
According to reports, the much anticipated Desire HD will feature an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording videos in high definition (HD), a 4.3-inch WVGA (800×480 pixel) touchscreen display and 8GB of internal storage.
