
T-Mobile customers can now get their hands on the new Motorola Atrix smartphone after the mobile operator announced that the handset has been added to its mobile offering.
Described as the “world’s most powerful smartphone”, the Atrix is available for free on a £35.75 per month, two-year contract, offering users 900 minutes, 500 texts and a 500MB data allowance.
Customers that are willing to pay more each month (£40.85 or above)can opt for T-Mobile’s ‘Work and Play’ kit, which includes the Motorola HD Multimedia Dock with three USB ports and an HDMI port, plus a remote control, mouse and keyboard . The kit can also be bought separately for £129.
T-Mobile is also offering the Lapdock that turns the Atrix into a full laptop for £299. The dock includes an 11.6 inch screen, surround-sound speakers, a keyboard and battery support of up to 8 hours.
The Motorola Atrix comes loaded with a number of high-end features including a 4-inch qHD display with Gorilla Glass protection, a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and HD recording capability, a front-facing webcam for video calling and Google’s Android 2.2 OS.
Motorola have also included an in-built biometric fingerprint reader that lets users unlock the mobile with a simple swipe of their finger.
