BlackBerry Torch 9800 Available On Three Mobile


The Blackberry Torch 9800 smartphone has gone on sale in the UK through mobile network operator Three .
The latest Blackberry handset is the first from manufacturer RIM to combine a touchscreen display with a full Qwerty keyboard and is also the first to feature the new BlackBerry 6.0 operating system, which according to Three provides “a cleaner and richer user experience” for faster browsing and easier access to applications.
RIM said the new OS has been designed to give customers more multimedia and entertainment aspects, in addition to Blackberry’s brilliant business features.
Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices at Three Mobile said, “When paired with Three’s high speed network, the BlackBerry Torch really comes into its own, allowing users to access their favourite web pages and social networking sites with ease.”
As well as featuring a slide-out Qwerty keypad and a brilliant touchscreen display, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 also comes with a five-megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash, 3G and WiFi support, 4GB of internal memory, microSD support and an FM radio .
The stylish phone is available in black on Three’s £35 a month, two-year tariff, which comes with 2,000 cross-network minutes, 5000 Three-to-Three minutes, 5,000 texts, 1GB of data and BlackBerry’s email service.
However, customers will have to pay a handset price of £249.
