
Vodafone has started taking pre-orders for the much-hyped Nokia N8 smartphone, with first deliveries due on October 22.
The mobile phone operator is offering the new Nokia handset on £25, £30 and £55 per month tariffs via its website (Vodafone.co.uk)
The £25 monthly plan is a two-year contract that offers the phone for £99 with 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of data. The handset costs £99.
The £30 per month, two-year tariff offers the handset for free with 600 minutes, unlimited texts plus 500MB of data.
Customers who opt for the £55 per month tariff plan on two-year contract also get the smartphone for free but with 3000 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of mobile internet plus 5MB of Euro data.
The N8 is Nokia’s first mobile to run Symbian 3 operating system and comes equipped with a 12-megapixel camera that is capable of recording high definition (HD) video.
Other features include a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 640×360 resolution, instant access to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, 16GB memory and a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 32GB.
